The Analytics team of Aon Reinsurance Solutions, currently comprising nearly 500 people worldwide (life and non-life actuaries, cat modelers, IT experts, accountants, financiers), provides its clients with high-level analytical and technical expertise. The Paris team is structured into two divisions: Actuarial and Cat Modeling.

Analytics supports the sales teams for all delivered services, among others:

  • Analysis of portfolio and claims data;
  • Evaluation and modeling of exposures, measurement of catastrophe exposures;
  • Determination of the technical charge of treaties and measurement of the effectiveness of reinsurance structures in relation to the company's risk appetite;
  • Market studies for Natural Forces, Motor Liability;
  • Advice relating to new solvency rules, technical support for calculations of the standard formula, operational support in the implementation of internal model documentation or internal risk and solvency assessment models ("ORSA") under Solvency II;
  • Provision of technical expertise and modeling services in the context of transactions or consulting services for our clients.

As part of the development of our activities, we wish to integrate an experienced non-life reinsurance actuary M/F on a permanent contract.

Your daily missions

You will be responsible for conducting modeling studies for our clients and prospects, as well as analyses related to the entire market. You will also participate in the development or deepening of tools, models, and expertise. Through these tasks, you will support the commercial activity of the branch and contribute to the development of Aon's offer, with the goal of meeting the needs and expectations of our clients, and strengthening our position as a reference player in reinsurance and actuarial services.

More specifically, your missions will revolve around three axes:

1/ Work

  • Pricing of various reinsurance contracts (Excess of Loss, Stop Loss, Quota Share, etc.) from different branches (automobile, fire, General Liability, natural events, construction, cyber, credit-surety, etc.) and proposal of alternative structures;
  • Modeling of innovative structures (structured solutions, Cat Bond, ADC/LPT, etc.);
  • Conducting DFA (Dynamic Financial Analysis) / economic capital studies aimed at optimizing reinsurance structures, taking into account companies' risk appetite, including their solvency objectives and constraints;
  • Performing missions related to Solvency II through audits of work performed by clients, as well as supporting them in implementing new methodologies and models;
  • Provisioning: analysis of non-life reinsurance provisioning (cession BE, commutations, etc.);
  • Responses to tenders on technical analysis and recommendations;
  • Conducting and presenting benchmarks on claims, structures, prices, etc.

2/ Client relationship

  • Participation in the commercial relationship with Aon's clients by providing technical expertise;
  • Participation in analyzing clients' needs and in developing solutions.

3/ Development

  • Proposals for improving existing methods and tools, developing new methods and tools (Excel and R);
  • Technological and regulatory monitoring, development of expertise;

Your skills and experiences that will lead to your success

With a scientific background (actuarial science, statistics, engineering) at the Master's level, you have gained 3/7 years of experience, ideally in non-life insurance/reinsurance.

You are proficient in Excel, R, Python, SAS; knowledge of ReMetrica is a plus.

Through your professional experiences, you have developed real analytical skills and know how to take initiatives to solve various problems. You are capable of taking ownership of an issue and successfully carrying out a related project.

A true educator, you are able to explain your work succinctly, both in writing and orally; and are comfortable in creating attractive deliverables (reports/presentations).
