Pricing Actuary (Alternative Solutions)
Responsibilities
- Secure understanding of risk through unbiased, technical risk assessment of structured (re)insurance solutions, both prospective and retrospective. Supports the actuarial pricing and cash flow modelling of Alternative Solution business. Give structural advice, provide technical support, and contribute with new ideas.
- Reach out and collaborate with pricing actuaries globally, who typically assess standard reinsurance structures with same underlying exposure.
- Strengthen pricing excellence by continuously enhancing pricing methodology for structured reinsurance.
- Establish advanced pricing apps for structured reinsurance, supplementary to standard corporate pricing tools.
Qualifications
- In-depth reinsurance pricing experience gained through at least three years of pricing activities at a global reinsurer. Pricing experience in various lines of business. Ideally experience in pricing structured reinsurance.
- Profound expertise in a statistical computing language like Python or R, accompanied with solid programming experience. Experience in applying machine learning models, ideally within actuarial contexts.
- Clear communicator. Ability to take complex methods, analysis and ideas and communicate effectively to a broad variety of stakeholders.
- Able to withstand pressure and to complete tasks within deadlines. Brings positive attitude to address challenges.
- Fully qualified actuary in a globally recognized actuarial body.
- Ideally exposure of working in multiple geographies.
Required Education
- Master Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or equivalent
