Actuarial Intern (Experience Analysis)

Responsibilities

  • Support team through active participation in team meetings
  • Analyze seriatim and other data for use in preparing mortality and lapse studies
  • Analyze mortality and lapse study results and assess their usefulness for pricing or other purposes
  • Analyze product, underwriting, or other company information for any influences on mortality, historical and prospective
  • Study the factors which influence insured mortality and their relative effect
  • Handle other tasks, as needed, to accomplish the goals of the Experience Analysis team or other actuarial functions

Qualifications

  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge and skills with the ability to problem solve
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of advanced Excel functions
  • Strong computer skills including learning new software and Microsoft Office products

Required Education

  • Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • Passed at least one actuarial exam.
