Actuarial Pricing Intern (Fall 2024)
SCOR’s P&C actuarial internship program aims to provide students with insight into the reinsurance and programs industries by working alongside experienced pricing actuaries.
Responsibilities
- Assist with data management in an information accumulation and data reporting role.
- Provide account pricing support to the actuarial team including submission data entry into internal pricing models and loss model set up.
- Perform ad hoc studies and research projects to develop new methodologies or refine existing analyses of SCOR’s portfolio.
- Read and summarize actuarial and insurance texts for inclusion in SCOR knowledge base.
Qualifications:
- Prior internship experience preferred
- Analytically minded with strong communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, VBA, Access
- Comfortable learning new programming languages
- Junior standing in a university Actuarial Science program
- Demonstrated success in passing actuarial exams
Pay Range:
$20 to $25 an hour pending on exams. Actual internship salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, role and length of program.
