Actuarial Analyst (L&H Retrocessions)

If you want to experience how things are done in the Life & Health Department (Team Retro & Health) at our headquarters in Hannover/Germany, join us on a permanent, full-time basis commencing at the earliest possible date as an Actuary.

Your Tasks

  • You work on capital-efficient retrocession solutions for new and in-force business from our international locations
  • You analyse portfolios and determine retrocession prices that meet international rules around transfer pricing
  • Your tasks further include checking balance sheet and planned figures for our retrocessions under Solvency II, IFRS and HGB
  • You make preparations for cessions to external retrocessionaires as well as for the associated negotiations and coordinate over them with internal specialist departments
  • As a reliable point of contact, you stay in very close touch with various teams at the Hannover Office and internationally

Your Profile

  • Degree in (business) mathematics or training as a certified actuary
  • Ideally, initial experience in (re)insurance or in the financial services sector
  • Keen interest in economic correlations
  • Enthusiasm for working on international teams
  • Assured user of MS Office and analytics tools
  • Proficient user skills in German and English (at least level C1)
