Corporate Actuary (Actuarial Planning)

Who will you be joining?
Group Actuarial is the corporate actuarial department of the Allianz Group based in Munich, Germany. P&C Actuarial Analysts at Group Actuarial provide oversight on actuarial reserving, assess portfolio performance, are responsible for overseeing actuarial activities of its companies worldwide and work on topical projects.
What will you be doing?
- Providing oversight of loss reserving / technical provisions and actuarial performance models
- Analyzing profitability of portfolios
- Developing new concepts for analyzing and estimating claims experience
- Enhancing actuarial analyses by using machine learning approaches
- Driving forward actively streamlining and automatization of internal processes
- Working in close cooperation with subsidiaries across the globe
- Participating in cutting-edge projects
What are the minimum qualifications?
- Tertiary qualification (ideally Master or PhD), preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
- Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities, problem solving ability
- Python and expertise in machine learning would be beneficial
- Previous experience in business related functions (e.i. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus.
What are the preferred qualifications?
- Very good proficiency of the English language
- Good communication and presentation skills, especially ability to convey information to non-expert audience and senior management
- Pro-active communication approach and strong ability to work independently
