Assistant Structuring Actuary (Part-Time)

Do you have a curious problem solver at heart? Are you intrigued by getting closer to the big picture of the insurance business? Are you motivated by dealing with many different people? If yes, then you might be the student actuary we are looking for.
We are looking for a student actuary that can join us on transaction journeys where ever needed and who with time will grow into a technical support for the team. You will be part of the costing team, which would develop your business understanding and bird eye perspective of the insurance industry.
Projects could among other be:
- Outside in analysis of a specific client
- Collecting, combining, and evaluating market analysis to get a deeper understanding of a segment
- Become a super user of our new costing tool
At P&C Structured Solutions you will be joining 50 very engaged teammates spread globally, working either as structurers or actuaries. Specifically, you will join the P&C Structuring Actuarial team, which is responsible for costing of Transactions from UK, Asia and Nordics.
We are responsible for leading the costing workstream of a transaction, and we are a part of the core deal team from transaction origination through post-close. That requires in depth, detailed risk assessment at the same time as connecting all the dots to other workstreams.
P&C Structured Solutions is a growing book with the ambition to contribute 25%-35% of Swiss Re's P&C result.
About You
We are searching for student from actuarial, math-economy, statistics or alike, who is:
Curious, out-of-the-box problem solver and flexible
Knowledge of programme languages such as R
Likes to interact with people
You are preferable starting 3rd or 4th study year after the summer break and will be ready to work between 15-20 hours a week.
