Actuarial Modernization Analyst

This position is an exciting opportunity to be a part of AIG’s Actuarial Data Transformation program. The Actuarial Data Transformation Team is responsible for developing and operationalizing the next generation technological platform, methodologies, and processes to support the domestic and international actuarial functions.

As an Actuarial Modernization Analyst on the Transformation team, you will design and develop new key systems for the international actuarial teams which require technical skills in SQL and database management. You will provide ad-hoc support of queries, reports, and admin obligations to the international actuaries across the globe. You will work closely on the creation of new Actuarial projects by supporting the developers and product owner as a part of an agile team.

This individual will report to the Head of International Actuarial Data Transformation.

Job Requirements:

  • BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, VBA, or other related coding skills.
  • At least 1 or more actuarial exam passed.
  • 1+ years actuarial experience. Property casualty reserving experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access.
  • Work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong business and collaboration skills, and responsive to service needs and operational demands.
  • Effective time management skill.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
