P&C Senior Actuarial Analyst
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to support the Appointed Actuary in the following responsibilities:
- Canadian statutory reserving and reporting under IFRS 17
- Financial forecast modelling, Financial Condition Testing (FCT) and ORSA process
- Transition to and stabilization in IFRS 17, working closely with local and global project teams and across functions, eg. Finance, IT, etc.
- Lead ad hoc projects and provide guidance to junior analysts
About the Team
This position will report to the P&C Appointed Actuary based in Toronto, Canada. The P&C Actuarial Management team comprising of five people in Toronto, reports to the Head Actuarial & Reserving P&C Americas.
We are responsible for all the corporate actuarial requirements of Swiss Reinsurance Canada Ltd, Canadian Branch and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions America Holding Corporation, Canadian Branch (collectively the " Canadian Branches").
About You
- University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
- Experience in reserving, capital modelling and knowledge on financial reporting (eg. IFRS 4/IFRS 17) preferred
- 5+ years actuarial experience preferred
- Certificate of FCAS/ACAS or close
