Senior Marketing Actuary
Responsibilities:
- Lead business development and client management functions for Singapore and Malaysia markets, including:
- Managing and maintaining existing client relationships, as well as acquiring new clients.
- Delivering product development services to targeted clients.
- Identifying valuable business opportunities and driving cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions for clients and SCOR.
- Negotiating relevant and commercially attractive solutions for clients while satisfying SCOR's profitability requirements.
- Leading the treaty preparation, review, and execution process with internal and external stakeholders.
- Delivering quality client experience by ensuring timely and client-centric responses.
- Organizing and coordinating client events and activities.
- Support the execution of SEA L&H reinsurance strategy and monitor business performance.
- Contribute innovative ideas in product design (medex, CI, LTC, etc) and connect with distribution frameworks in SEA team.
- Participate and support regional and global initiatives and projects.
- Deliver industry presentations to enhance SCOR's brand.
- Implement strategies and objectives for specific market and client segments within SEA.
- Serve as a senior-level role for business development and client management functions within SEA.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant life insurance or reinsurance experience, of which at least 4 years within the South East Asia market, preferably includes various functions such as business development, client management, product development, pricing.
- Expert knowledge of Life and Health Insurance products.
- Expert knowledge of Reinsurance structures/solutions and their pricing.
- Very good understanding of the need to integrate key stakeholders' interests in the product design phase and its affordability requirement as well as the need to balance among profitability, risk management, and marketability.
- Expert knowledge of reinsurance treaty wordings and their corresponding link with the quotation slip and the risk management requirements.
Managerial competences (if applicable):
- Outgoing, confident with excellent social skills, written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in technical aspects of reinsurance solutions.
- Comfortable in presenting and negotiating commercial terms.
- Experience in delivering presentations to clients and in industry seminars.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Mentor and coach younger team members.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- FIA, FFA, FSA, FCIA, or FIAA designation preferred.
