Actuarial Consultant (FSA)

Milliman's healthcare consulting practice, located in Indianapolis, provides consulting services to a broad array of clients in the healthcare field with a primary focus on Medicaid and Pharmaceutical consulting. They are looking for an Actuarial Consultant (FSA) with leadership experience to guide project and client management.
The ideal candidate would have expertise in project scope development, project and staff management, and the ability to communicate the results with a client. This position provides excellent opportunities for professional development and advancement.
The Indianapolis Health practice continues to grow and has created an additional Actuarial Consultant (FSA) position. Our practice works with a wide range of clients and performs the following types of analyses:
- Medicaid budget and forecasting assistance
- Projection and other financial modeling
- Experience analysis including outcomes analyses, prevalence/incidence estimates and expenses associated with specified diseases and conditions
- Actuarial support for government reporting requirements
- Dental pricing and reserving
- Assistance with contract bidding and negotiations
- Populations projections for product development
The ideal candidate should have five years or more of healthcare industry leadership, management experience leading staff and analysts through information gathering, validation, and analysis, experience and desire to lead client projects and prepare client communications, solid analytic and mathematic skills, advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, participation in business development opportunities, excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong organizational and time management skills.

The person hired for this role will be required to work on-site in the Indianapolis office on a weekly basis, however, flexible work arrangements can be discussed.
