Pricing Actuary
We are looking for a special actuary to join our diverse and motivated team. You will be responsible for pricing development of easy-to-understand insurance products suitable for digitalization in Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate key consumer needs and build a great customer experience using brand-new technology solutions. You will report to the Head Product Management DACH.
Generate pricing metrics for profitability management and benchmark analytics as well as partnership with the reserving department
Create very modular tariffs with focus on motor enabling high flexibility on coverage and object bundles while keeping adverse selection risks under tight control
Develop innovative and easy to understand P&C products starting from our customers' perspective and in close collaboration with claims
In case of limited claims data, define technical and commercial tariffs for newly developed products while also performing more sophisticated actuarial analysis (GLM and new methods) for bigger portfolios
Continuously improve the selection and pricing of risks through the use of leading-edge pricing tools and models incl. predictive analytics
Monitor market developments, evaluate upcoming consumer needs and perform competitor benchmarking to ensure adequate positioning of our products
Be responsible for your own market and manage your product portfolio through continuous testing of different bundles, tariffs and sales journeys
Participate in sales pitches and ideation workshops as part of a cross-functional team to onboard new distribution partners in your market
About you
Fully qualified actuary with 3+ years of experience in P&C retail pricing (experience with key software such as Earnix, Emblem is an advantage) in Continental Europe.
Expertise in statistical modelling and data analytics (Proficiency in modelling languages such as R, Python or similar) and comfortable learning and working with new software.
Technology minded with a clear view on how technology can be used for customer friendly underwriting and more attractive insurance products.
Creative and have many ideas how to improve the current market practices and enhancing the customer experience through transparent products.
Hands-on and independent working style embracing cross-functional teams and partnering with distribution partners from different industries and backgrounds. Ambitious and able to demonstrate commercial competence when partnering with distributors and driving product innovation.
Clear and effective communication with internal and external business leaders. Proficiency in Dutch and English; proficiency in other EU languages is a plus.
