Actuary (Model Development)

If you want to experience how things are done in the Reinsurance Accounting & Valuation - Actuarial Models & Systems - Product Model Development team at our headquarters in Hannover/Germany, join us on a permanent, full-time basis commencing at the earliest possible date as a Mathematician / Actuary Product Model Development.

Your Tasks

  • Product modelling for our international locations serving life and health reinsurance that reflects reporting requirements arising out of internal actuarial processes as well as (inter)national financial reporting standards for insurance contracts
  • Connecting the international locations to the central actuarial system landscape in life and health reinsurance
  • Ongoing refinement of the projection models used
  • Conducting user training activities in relation to the actuarial system landscape

Your Profile

  • Master's degree in (industrial or business) mathematics
  • Very good knowledge of a higher programming language, ideally C++
  • Ideally, experience in the field of actuarial mathematics and/or knowledge of life (re)insurance products
  • SQL skills and experience with standard software design principles is an advantage
  • Willingness to train as a certified actuary (DAV)
  • Proficient user skills in English (at least level C1)
