Life Actuarial Analyst

This role is a 1-year contract in the APAC Life Valuation team in the Actuarial Department. You will have the opportunity to be involved in various areas in reinsurance valuation and internal projects.

This exciting and fast-paced role will have you working across APAC (including China, North Asia, South Asia & ANZ) which cover 9 offices writing business in c.30 countries.

  • Support the quarterly and annual RBC2 regulatory valuation and solvency analysis.
  • Support the MAS Industry-Wide Stress Test exercise.
  • Assist in the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) exercise.
  • Support in the continuous improvement of actuarial reporting processes, analyses and controls across the markets.
  • Assist in the preparation of assigned reports.
  • Any other ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

Prior actuarial experience in life insurance/reinsurance is preferred, but not required. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Effective verbal and written communication, time management and organization skills are required. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) is necessary. Experience in programming is a plus. Keen interest to understand and build on actuarial models is a must. Excellent team player is required. Completed bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field with a strong quantitative orientation is necessary.
