Senior Actuarial Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join the Unit Pricing team at NFU Mutual, where you’ll use your financial skills to turn analytical insights into value-adding BAU and change activity.

As Senior Actuarial Analyst you’ll be part of a supportive team that’s responsible for the unit prices across our business. With a focus on unit prices, you’ll liaise with external stakeholders, colleagues across the business and our IT and Investment Departments, to analyse complex data problems and provide detailed technical knowledge and insight to the team.

The existing team and pool of Pricing Analysts demonstrate strong commercial insight within a fast-paced working environment but will need an element of coaching and training support from you. In return, you’ll have the opportunity to build networks and gain experience of an Actuarial function with high-volume BAU and project work. You’ll also have the opportunity to embed the process for our recently launched Unit Pricing system.

This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside of Stratford-upon-Avon. We understand how important a positive work-life balance is to you, so we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment, and support to work some of your hours from home.

About you

With a focus on Unit Pricing, you’re an Actuarial professional with experience in financial services and a sound understanding of processes and systems. A friendly team player, you readily face challenges head-on and show resilience in a fast-paced environment. To join our team, you must also have:

  • An honours degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics or a degree with significant mathematical or science content
  • A recognised Insurance qualification such as CII, or Certified Actuarial Analyst
  • Experience and understanding of actuarial techniques and ability to demonstrate judgement
  • Experience of working in a Financial Services, Life and Pensions or Investment environment
  • A good understanding of processes and systems.
