Senior Actuarial Analyst (Reporting)

About the Team

We are one of the pioneering teams to get involved in end-to-end aspects of Swiss Re Asia reporting, i.e. everything from initial data handling until explaining the movements in reporting figures.

About the Role:

Position objectives and position summary:

  • On boarding of New Business on the valuation platform.
  • Onboarding the latest available data to remove any current lags between cedent and reinsurer data.
  • Experience study and set up of business assumptions.
  • Reporting of liabilities and financial for Regulatory, Internal and External Reporting on various basis including USGAAP, IFRS, STAT (local statutory), and MCEV/EVM (Economic).
  • Drive Business decision by providing insights and health of the business.
  • Supporting in the adoption of the global approach across all regions.
  • Supporting valuation team in a capacity which builds skills for the above tasks during peak season.

About You :

  • Advanced actuarial student with close to qualification.
  • Around 4 years of experience in reinsurance, life or health insurance products.
  • Experience with market consistent valuation and/or USGAAP/ IFRS an advantage.
  • Ability to work and judge independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good business and financial acuity.
  • Work with teams across various locations.
  • Strong technical knowledge, proficiency in working with spreadsheet packages, knowledge of a modeling software preferred (MoSes, Prophet).
