Job description

Every day our teams help people in businesses and communities to do what is right and achieve their goals. Our Actuarial Insurance Consulting team provides market leading advice to clients in the financial services sector and further afield. We consult extensively to the life insurance, general insurance, health insurance and pensions sectors, as well as to the banking and other non-traditional areas. We specialise in developing bespoke solutions that are theoretically robust but also pragmatic to implement and commercially sound.

You will play a key role in the Actuarial Insurance Consulting team, working primarily with non-life insurance clients to deliver solutions and advice on complex issues. You will work on a wide variety of projects including Transactions and Independent Expert assignments, IFRS 17 implementation, Model Validation, Capital Modelling, Solvency II services and Finance Transformation.

A look into the role

As an Actuarial General Insurance Associate Director within our Actuarial Insurance Consulting team, you will:

• Work in on a wide variety of projects including, but not limited to, capital modelling, validation, reserving, IFRS 17, transactions, Independent Expert assignments, actuarial and finance transformation and data analytics.
• Lead in the day-to-day management of projects and delivery of client work. You will engage with all key stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met, risks are managed, and the quality of work is to the highest standard.
• Take responsibility for developing more junior members of the team, understanding their career aspirations and supporting their delivery.
• Business development is a key aspect of the role and you'll have the opportunity to be active in the market to develop new business. We are looking for individuals who are keen to generate new ideas, grow their network and take new propositions to market.

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as an Actuarial General Insurance Associate Director, the minimum criteria you’ll need to be a qualified Actuary with post qualification experience. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

• Experience of managing internal or external stakeholders and working within set project timeframes.
• Experience of business development activity would be preferable.
• Experience of managing teams.
• Experience in a consulting role within general insurance
• Experience in any of the following: capital modelling, reserving, data analytics, finance and actuarial transformation or climate risk.
