Actuarial Manager
Salary ranges from £62,500 - £72,500 Depending on experience / qualifications
This is the perfect opportunity for a newly or nearly qualified actuary looking for an interesting challenge in a dynamic team focussing on actuarial issues within Finance.
A bit about the job:
The key responsibility for this role will be to support the Group and AII Chief Actuaries who are responsible for all regulatory and other actuarial activities.
You will be supporting the team to run the validation of Aviva’s Internal Model.
You will engage with local 1st line and play a meaningful role in challenging the setting of as well as calculation of the SCR and technical provisions.
You’ll also manage and improve controls on behalf of the Chief Actuary and optimise and automate tools and frameworks along with undertaking robust analysis resulting in intelligent business proposals.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- We are looking for a nearly qualified/ qualified actuary
- Important to have knowledge of standard actuarial techniques and IFRS/Solvency II requirements
- You should have a good understanding of how a good control framework supports intelligent business decision-making, while steering businesses away from danger
- Looking for an enthusiastic individual with good communication and team-working skills
- Stakeholder management experience is also desirable
