Analyst (Health)
Work Experience:
0 to 6 Months relevant work experience (can be relaxed at the discretion of the Hiring Manager(s) if this becomes a constraint for selection of the appropriate candidate) scope
Role Overview:
Assist consultants and other stakeholders for US Health and Benefits domain, delivering periodic actuarial valuations for clients using ProVal software, standard IBNP models/AMS tool and other actuarial processes. The process involves analysis of healthcare products data provided by vendors & onshore consultants pertaining to premium, claims, plan attributes.
- Operates as part of team under supervision of Sr. Analysts
- Supporting our senior team members to provide expert, timely, efficient and professional delivery of services to our onshore consultants
- Taking responsibility for the production (quality, timeliness and budget) of work for allocated client deliverables. This includes undertaking and completing complex actuarial calculations and reports (as appropriate to competence and experience defined in Skill Blocks)
- Building strong relationships and high level trust in them to deliver work on time
- Demonstrate ability to convey logical thought processes and produce well-presented work which is easy for others to follow
- Playing an active part in service delivery as part of the extended client teams and confident to do an independent research on a new topic
- Taking responsibility to be abreast of process/legislative changes to ensure fit-for-purpose results are delivered
- With supervision, completes periodic valuations for clients using ProVal software standard IBNP models/AMS tool
- With supervision, works on multiple valuations and processes simultaneously
- Recognizes when tasks are taking too long, and asks for help
- Uses formal training to learn technical topics
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
- Graduate, numerate degree preferred such as Mathematics / Statistics / Economics / Engineering
- Active student member of the Institute of Actuaries, UK / India and should have cleared at-least one core technical actuarial exams
