DB Graduate Actuarial Analyst
Role Overview
This is a fantastic newly created opportunity for a high calibre graduate looking to start their Actuarial career in a dynamic team with huge potential for growth. We are looking for a recent graduate to price Bulk Purchase Annuity transactions and support the DB Solutions Team’s growth ambitions, in a role that will offer progression through to becoming a qualified actuary.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior DB pricing team members in accurate and timely delivery of new business quotations.
- Populate and run pricing models to calculate premiums, including manipulation of data, assumption setting and calculation of all associated pricing metrics
- Draft internal and external documentation needed, and present results to key internal stakeholders
- Develop sound knowledge of all systems and tools used in DB pricing
- Provide support in ad hoc tasks
Key Skills
- 2.1 or above in a maths, or related degree, is essential
- Desire for a career as an Actuary and to become IFoA qualified
- Good IT skills, particularly Excel, coding experience desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal and team working skills
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of actuarial principles and techniques would be beneficial
