About the Role

This role is a key contributor to the development and implementation of processes for the upcoming IFRS17 accounting standards for the Australian and New Zealand life insurance actuarial management team.

Your main responsibilities will include implementation of IFRS reporting, including quantification of impacts, process set up, documentation and handover. Additionally you will contribute to development and provision of the training process for the ANZ actuarial team for IFRS17 reporting.

About the Team

We are a group of management, project and process specialists leading and supporting efforts to inform and guide the business. These undertakings bridge across functions (Pricing, Reserving, Finance, Products and Client Markets).

About You

  • Fellow of Australian Institute of Actuaries qualification (or equivalent);
  • At least 5 years' experience in corporate actuarial or life & health insurance industry;
  • At least 3 years in Australian or New Zealand MoS life insurance valuations and local capital requirements;
  • Knowledge of the Australian L&H market;
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle both conceptual and practical issues;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently, good judgement and business insight; and
  • Enjoys team collaboration and contributing to the broader team on local and global business initiatives.

Knowledge of actuarial valuation systems, particularly RAFM, as well as experience with life insurance accounting, management reporting and actuarial valuation system implementation would be viewed favourably!
