About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for either an Actuary (qualified) or an Actuarial Consultant (part qualified) to join our Risk Actuarial Function.
You’ll be part of a team of actuarial experts who carry out risk focused second line assurance across our Life and General Insurance business.
We are committed to adding value to our internal and external customers, and you’ll deliver this by supplying analysis and insight on risk topics to our senior stakeholders, helping them to apply sound judgement and to understand complex problems.
You’ll gain experience of validating actuarial models, applying your technical knowledge, and making recommendations that inform business decision making.
Through the support of the team, we will help you develop technical skills and to adapt to any regulatory changes, as well as building relationships with stakeholders across the business.

This role is based in our Lakehouse office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work-life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.
About you
You use your knowledge as an insurance actuary to supply insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders. You’re a qualified/part qualified actuary, with a collaborative approach, and an eye for detail. Aware of current industry developments and regulatory change, you’ll leverage your in-depth knowledge of actuarial techniques to add value to an organisation. You’ll have a flair for communicating complex information to a non-technical audience, and experience building strong working relationships.
To join our team, you’ll also have:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience as an actuary in the Life Insurance sector
- Fully qualified or part qualified actuary (FIA or FFA)
