Actuarial Analyst (6 Month FTC)
Salary: Circa £35,000 (Pro Rata)
Contract Length: 6 Months with potential for longer
Location: York or Bristol are main locations, but can be flexible
We have a Fixed Term Contract opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst in the actuarial reporting production team, you will join a supportive and dynamic team and work in a fast-paced environment. This role would be particularly suitable for an individual who has or is studying towards an actuarial qualification and has work experience in insurance.

A bit about the job:
Key aspects of the role will include the following:
- Producing financial results and supporting analysis, data and models
- Delivering tasks assigned by engagement managers and senior colleagues
- Working within required timescales to ensure demands are met, with an awareness of impacts/dependencies on other areas of the business
- Supporting any change activity designed to accelerate team processes or respond to regulatory change e.g., automation, IFRS17
- Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues across the department to deliver assigned tasks and enable a flexible resourcing model
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Part-qualified Actuary, although we could consider graduates and nearly qualified actuaries
- Financial or regulatory reporting experience (both IFRS and Solvency II) preferred but not essential
- Good communication skills, verbal and written – ability to communicate complex issues simply
- Ability to work independently and on their own initiative and know when to escalate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
