Support the L&H Actuarial valuation and reporting teams with the roll-in of the IFRS17 standard and the new FPSL accounting sub-ledger. Perform and coordinate testing activities of the upstream economic results and downstream IFRS17 results. Foster active communication and information exchange between the different regional actuarial, finance and IT teams involved. Contribute to the review and explanation of IFRS17 results. Prepare status summaries to stakeholders and senior management.
Main tasks/activities/responsibilities (in brief statements describe the main accountabilities of the job and specify responsibilities)
- Perform hands-on review and testing activities of actuarial results in feeder systems, as well as the IFRS17 results produced in the new sub-ledger. Scrutinize and sense check the results. Summarize the review and testing results and share within the teams involved and with management.
- Contribute to the explanation of the IFRS17 results.
- Communicate actively with the different regional valuation teams, support coordination of the testing and review activities and keep a good overview on the status of those activities.
- Develop a good understanding of IFRS17 calculation and reports for results review. Contribute to an efficient review process by designing effective review approaches.
- Follow-up on issues and open questions raised during the results review. Establish a good communication with the teams involved in issue resolution.
- Be part of the global team serving as a single point of contact within LHBM for the L&H Reinsurance end-to end process.
About You (education, linguistic ability, professional experience, leadership qualities, soft skills)
- Graduate or Post-Graduate with more than 5 years of experience in actuarial role in insurance or reinsurance.
- Progress towards actuarial qualification.
- Experience with actuarial valuation and reporting bases such as IFRS, Statutory and Economic valuation required.
- Exposure to actuarial/finance systems will be an advantage.
- Strong co-ordination and analysis skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong learning motive and results oriented working style.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse multi-region and multi-project environment.
