About the Role

 

Become an integral part of the Global Actuarial Process & Systems team!

 

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and drive the global working environment for the actuarial function within L&H Business Management.

The transformation programme involves collaboration with global functions across the business, helping to reshape the actuarial landscape for the future. The team comprises of experienced actuarial and technology leads bringing their drive and expertise to develop a better way of working for our valuation teams.

Taking accountability for designing, building and implementing key systems, tools and processes as part of a transformation programme to develop a next-generation L&H valuation environment. This will focus on developing fully automated production processes that will continuously update valuation results with the latest cedent data and actuarial assumptions, which will increase efficiency across L&H global operations.

 

Key accountabilities

 

To work in the L&H Business Management division and jointly drive transformation of the global L&H actuarial process.

 

The role requires:

  • Working closely as part of a virtual cross-functional team tasked with the design, development and implementation of global actuarial processes.

  • Ultimate responsibility for delivering their assigned product component and ensuring seamless integration with the wider landscape, under an agile delivery framework.

  • Ensuring the actuarial system developments needed to support the target end-to-end process design are actioned and the ultimate system design is fit-for-purpose. This will ensure projections and reserving calculations can be undertaken with the appropriate level of technical rigour and promotes efficient workflow not only within Actuarial, but also across different functional teams.

  • Ensuring the end-to-end process is efficient and meets the target vision of a continuously operating valuation process that is simple, robust and fully automated.

  • Working in close collaboration with other product owners, programme managers and leadership to deliver.

 

About You

 

  • Qualified actuary with significant post qualification experience (5+ years PQE).

  • Good knowledge of the end-to-end valuation reporting and concepts relevant to actuarial reporting.

  • Strong experience of working with Actuarial Models.

  • People/Team management experience - effective at leading global cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to communicate complex actuarial and finance concepts to a range of technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Enthusiastic and driven to deliver on ambitious targets effectively.

  • Experience of working on large scale and complex change projects.

  • Very proactive and able to work within an uncertain and continually changing environment.

  • Agile working experience and Scrum Framework
