Role purpose
To provide actuarial and analytical support and services required by the Group, either directly or through the management of a small team, whilst following the actuarial study pathway towards qualification as an Actuary.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake technical analysis using complex actuarial and analytical techniques in accordance with agreed guidelines and methodology.
- Challenge and make improvements and efficiencies to processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Take a leading role in making the project happen and provide updates to project manager.
- Check work of a technical or complex nature, providing feedback to the originator.
Essential Criteria
- Excellent working knowledge of relevant computer systems and packages, excel and word.
- Able to pay attention to detail and critically review own and others work.
- Ability to develop strong business relationships with colleagues across the department and the wider business.
Desirable Criteria
- Excellent understanding of life and pensions products and an appreciation of competitors products.
